CHILDREN IN ACTION/MISSION FRIENDS

Come join us Sundays @ 6pm! Children in Action is for children in 1st-5th grade.  Mission Friends is for children 3 years through Kindergarten.  Childcare will be provided for children 2 and under.

This month in CiA/MF…

In April, children will study the Parable of the Sower and learn to listen to God's Word. They will learn about missionaries Eric and Kristi Stanton and Kevin and Laura Baggett who serve, persevere, and share God's message in Argentina. Children will also participate in activities that teach them to tell Bible stories in unique ways.

Serving in: Argentina
Missionary: Eric and Kristi Stanton; Kevin and Laura Bagett
Biblical Focus: Parable of the Sower
Memory Verse: So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples,  and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
John 8:31-32 (ESV)

KIDS’ CHOIR

Kid’s choir will be each Wednesday night during the 7pm service. We will be preparing to lead worship with our Hymn of the Month and a new praise song. Come join us!

SUNDAY SCHOOL

God the Savior

Unit Description: The Israelites wandered in the desert for 40 years before God brought them into the promised land. The Israelites needed to conquer the land, so God fought for His people. Joshua led the people and encouraged them to be faithful to the one true God.
Key Passage: Joshua 1:9
Big Picture Question: Whom can we trust? We can trust God.

Bible Story: Joshua’s Final Encouragement
Bible Passage: Joshua 23:1–24:28
Main Point: Joshua encouraged the people to worship God alone.

This week we listened in as Joshua shares his final words of encouragement to Israel.
Joshua is near the end of his life, and like Moses, he addresses the people to point them
to God. They had a choice to make: choose to follow God or choose to follow the false
gods. They couldn’t do both.
As Joshua prepared for his own death, he left a legacy of obedience to God. After Jesus’
death and resurrection, He appeared to the disciples and left them with a legacy: to
make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything Jesus commanded. (Matthew
28:1920)
Help your children see that they have the same choice to make today. They may not be
tempted to worship little statues, but they can worship plenty of other things besides
God.
