NO WEDNESDAY NIGHT CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES TONIGHT. KIDS’ CHOIR STARTS NEXT WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16TH!

CHILDREN IN ACTION/MISSION FRIENDS

Woohoo!!! It’s finally time for CiA and MF to begin! We will be much more active this year…working on earning our badges and doing more outreach projects!  Come join us Sundays @ 6pm! Children in Action is for children in 1st-5th grade.  Mission Friends is for children 3 years through Kindergarten.  Childcare will be provided for children 2 and under.

See you on September 13th @ 6pm!

KIDS’ CHOIR
Kid’s choir will resume on September 16th!  Kid’s choir will be each Wednesday night during the 7pm service. We will be focusing on the “Hymn of the Month” and Christmas music.  This year, we will not be doing a Children’s Christmas Cantata, but we will be learning three different Christmas songs.  One will be performed with the Adult Choir during the adult Christmas cantatas (evenings of December 12th and 13th),  and the other 2 will be performed during the morning service on December 13th.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Unit Title: God the Creator

Key Passage: 1 Corinthians 8:6

Session Title: God Created the World

Main Point: God created everything.

Bible Passage: Genesis 1:1-25

Big Picture Question: Why did God create the world? God created the world for His glory.

Christ Connection: Jesus is Lord over everything. Everything was created by Him and for Him.

Jesus holds everything together. (Colossians 1:16-17)

This week began a three-year chronological study of Scripture. Every story in the Bible is a small piece of a much bigger story—God’s redemptive story. Sin would enter the world and affect everything, but God already had a plan to show His grace to people through His Son (2 Tim. 1:9). The Bible says that God began His plan to rescue people from sin before He even created the world! (Eph. 1:4-6)

In today’s Bible story, children learned that God created the world out of nothing. Every wonderful and beautiful thing God created, He spoke into existence. God created the world and everything in it for His glory. Jesus was present at creation, and all things were created through Him and for Him. (Col. 1:16-17)
