After-School Program

We offer a free after-school program for 1st-5th graders every Monday through Friday from 2:45 until 6:00 pm.  The House is located at 208 S. 4th St. and also serves as our Mission Midlothian Headquarters.

We also operate a program at Briggs House, which is located next to the J.A. Vitovsky Elementary School on 1605 N. Hwy 67.

The program provides students with a healthy snack, personalized help with homework, a Bible story time, crafts, games, and supervised play time.

We also invite local police officers, firefighters, missionaries, nurses, puppeteers, and other community leaders to visit and share safety and healthcare tips and to share special stories with our children.

Children are accepted into our program based on financial and personal need.  Parents who are unable to pay for after-school care can find a safe, friendly, and welcoming environment where their child can learn and grow.  The availablity of the After-School Program is a blessing to many Midlothian families.

If you would like to help

The ability of Mission Midlothian to have a positive impact on the community is due largely to the commitment of our volunteers.

Our town's children hold the future of it in their hands.  Let us reach out our own hands and touch their's with the love of God.  Together we can help provide Midlothian with a brighter tomorrow!

Food Pantry

Manna provides food on a monthly basis to our community's senior citizens and others on a fixed income.  We also assist families in crisis while they get back on their feet.  Individuals make their own selections from the food pantry in an effort to give them more control over their situation.  The food pantry is kept stocked by the community, food drives by local organizations, donations from local grocery stores, bakeries, resturants and by private donations.  Should the pantry run low, Manna House is an approved agency at 2 DFW area food banks.

Heaven's Attic

Heaven's Attic is the thrift store located next door to Manna House.  All items are donated and priced to sell.  The money made in Heaven's Attic goes directly to Manna House and back out into our community.  As needs of clothing, furniture and appliances and all kinds of household needs arise, a voucher is is issued and those items are given to the persons in need.

Manna's goal is to give families a helping hand, empowering them to rise above the immediate crisis with a sense of dignity.

They are funded by area churches, local businesses, schools and organizations, individual donations, the United Way of W. Ellis County, various grants, and the TXU Energy Aid program.

Manna House is chartered by the state of Texas as a 501 (c) 3 corporation.  It is owned by area churches and governed by a board of directors from those churches.  All donations made to Manna House or Heaven's Attic are tax deductible.
